Gluten Free Garlic and Herb Bread Sticks

These amazing looking garlic and herb bread sticks are made using my pizza dough recipe. I added in 1 teaspoon of dried Italian herbs with the bread flour and brushed them with extra virgin olive oil and garlic powder when they were done baking. This recipe makes 6-8 good sized bread sticks, depending on how big you want them to be. They are soft and chewy inside, yet light and fluffy too. I hope you give these are try, they are delicious!

Ingredients:
  • 1 recipe pizza dough
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian herbs (adding during the mixing process)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Preheat your oven to 425F.
Prepare the pizza dough as described in my recipe adding in the Italian herbs with the flour.
Place the prepared dough onto a lightly floured surface. Sprinkle the surface with a little flour and pat into a smooth disk. Cut the dough into 6-8 equal sized pieces.

Roll each piece into an 8 inch long rope and place on an ungreased baking sheet.

Place the bread sticks in a warm place and allow to rise for 20 minutes. I like to place a boiling mug of water in my microwave then add the sheet and close the door. It creates the perfect environment to raise bread dough.
Once risen, place the bread sticks into your preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown. Remove the bread sticks from the oven and brush them with the olive oil and garlic mixture. Enjoy!
